To make this bottle feeder you will need:
· 1 x soft drink bottle of your preferred size depending on the size of the puppy/dog. We use a 2LT bottle for our adults.
· 1 x length of thin rope (if you want to hang the bottle. You don't have to but it will last much longer).
· Small Dog treats or dry food.
· A drill and drill bit.
Method:
1. Remove all labels from the plastic bottle.
2. Drill several holes in the bottom of the bottle just large enough for the food/treats to fit through.
3. Drill a hole in the lid of the bottle large enough for your rope to fit through.
4. Thread one end of the rope through the hole in the lid and tie a knot in the ropes end so that it will not fall back through the hole in the lid.
5. Half fill the bottle with food or treats and screw the lid back onto the bottle.
6. Hang the bottle in your puppy's yard just high enough for your puppy to reach the bottom of the bottle with his mouth.
If you do not want to hang the bottle you can do the following:
1. Remove all labels from the bottle.
2. Drill several holes in the sides of the bottle just large enough for the food/treats to fit through.
3. Half fill the bottle with food or treats and screw the lid back onto the bottle.
4. Place on the ground and when your puppy smells the food or treats he will roll the bottle around and the food will fall out slowly. He will roll it around untill he has emptied the bottle. Eventually he will destroy the bottle by using this method. But you just need to replace it. Of course if you hang the bottle it will last much longer.
