5th November 2010 Dear Mary, Sonny is just brilliant!! He has settled into a routine since returning from you & is such a delight to have around. He still trys to sneek the odd sock from Jordans room but i usually catch him. I try to keep a straight face when i scold him. He is soooo cute. He is very happy with Eukanuba & it makes life easy. Every day he runs for 30 minutes & i throw him a tennis ball. He is soooo fast!! We still go to the dog park every 2 days, to play with his friends. Will pass on your info to people i meet who are interested in a beagle. Hope you & family are well. Take care. Kind regards Michelle Bellevue Hill, NSW |
5th November 2010 Hello Mary, I am very happy to let you know that Pheobe is doing really really well the first week with us!!! I am so happy to see Pheobe is enjoying our family; our food and likes to play with our 6 yr old dalmatian (Lilly) all day. She brings lots of fun to our family. I have taken photos of her everyday because she is so cute!!! We have taken her to the vet to make sure everything is fine as she has been flying for a long time to Darwin. And also book the vaccine next month. On my colleague request, she also visited my workplace and got lots of love from them. Please find attached photos of her to see how she is enjoying herself in a new life with us. I will continue to keep you updated about her. I have also pass on your name to my friends and colleagues as you are the best dog breeder. Many thanks Mary and take care! All the best Lin and Family Darwin NT. "Pheobe" |
1st November 2010 Hello Mary, Sorry it has been so long since we have updated you with some photo's. This is our lovely Raymond, he's a joy with a huge personality. He is fighting fit and enjoying his walks most days but he is a big boy last checked Ray was 11kg but in proportion. He just completed puppy preschool where he was top of the class. Ray is quite the trickster. Hope you enjoy the photos. Thanks again Steve and Jesi "Raymond" |
1st November 2010 Hi Mary Stewart and I just wanted to send you some photos of Harry and Ralph. They are both doing really well. Rene Hayes Sydney, NSW. "Harry & Ralph" |
25th October 2010 Hi Mary Just writing to let you know...how fast time flies, Mia has just been desexed but true to form she was wanting to run around at about 2.00am!! She is walking really well on the lead now , and actually mostly sleeps all night without any probs and keeps herself well occupied when left alone. She is also slowly getting used to the beach and I have attached some photos of her latest trip...the way she gets excited when she sees other dogs, I imagine I will let her off the lead in 12 years time when I might be able to catch her and she may have slowed down!! I also saw on your website that Kirsty, who has Moby, Mias brother, was wondering how Mia was travelling...the one thing Mia still has that she has not damaged in any way is the cuddly teddy we gave her at your place on day one. It remains her number one. So please give our email to Kirsty so we can compare our tales please!!!! Many thanks again Tracy and Mark Pattison Wyongah,NSW 19th June 2010 Mary These are some vids from the first two weeks.... some pics to follow. She is sleeping well...a few hiccups ...plays all day then sleeps when sun goes down till around 6.30pm in the morn...never thought I could love a dog so much...nightime indoors..daytime out...uses the doggy door to come in when it gets cool in arvo..and she would be happy to sleep in my lap all day long!!! Regards Tracy Pattison Wyongah, NSW "Mia" |
25th October 2010 Hi Mary, Well our new addition to our family is just wonderful, our little girl just loves her and Honey just loves her back. Here are a couple of pictures i thought you might like to see of Madison and Honey. Regards Keith and Tamara Hodder. |
18th October 2010 Hi Mary, How are things? We thought we would give you an update on our little girl. Well we have had her home now just over a month and a lot has happened. Firstly we cant now imagine a life without her, she does add a new dimension and level of family to the house, and everyone loves to spend time with her and give her cuddles and play time. We do have to thank both you and Sonny for all the advice and work you put into all your puppies and making the purchasing of a new family member such a delight for us. We have recommended your business to quiet a few friends when they say how lovely our little Pepsi is, and I tell them you raise the dogs all to get on with all your other animals, and offer great support and advice any time. She has already learnt to Sit, and fetch for us, and loves playing that. We are trying to teach her Drop and Shake. We took her to the vet a couple of weeks ago and got the first of her shots, and she gets the second in a couple more weeks. Then we can finally take her out on walks and introduce her to the big wide world (which she is busting to see), as each time the gate opens she is trying her best to escape the confines of Alcatraz (our back yard). We are so happy with how she has made the transition to one of our family, and she gets a lot of love and time with everyone in the house. The kids have taken their responsibilities very seriously. Anyway thanks again, And we look forward to seeing you in the upcoming months when we need more pet supplies. Regards, Anthony & Henriette. "Honey" |
14th October 2010 Hi Mary,, Hope all is going well for you & your family and all pups are happy and healthy. We are all well and Josie & Forrest are having a wonderful time together. He has bought out the playfulness in her and there is lots of rumbling, play fighting and chasing going on. Very funny and noisy. I have attached a photo for you, but he's grown so much since I took this photo, he's way too big to sleep with her now, although Josie does use him as a pillow sometimes. He's almost as big as Josie already and he's only just gone 14 weeks. Hope to hear from you soon. Best regards, Suzie ps. we miss coming out to visit you and seeing all the puppies

6th October 2010 Hi Mary, Just thought i'd let you know how Miss Sookie is going. She is going well, it seems when mackenzie goes for her nap so does sookie! The kids adore her, we are trying to get her to run up the slippery dip with the kids she just slips backwards and makes her adorable little bark "a ru ru" and as much as i dont want a barking dog, the kids encourage her to bark cause its just to cute.. if they are both on their swings she is quite happy to sit there and watch them and " a ruru" until she gets some attention haha... She makes our hearts melt even my dad he used to ring to see how the kids are and now he rings to find out how "MY" sookie is haha.. he is always saying just bring her over are you going out ill look after her!! everyone loves her!!!! Thankyou for our little angel shes beautiful!! locky and sookie are the best of friends already! she is like a 3rd arm to him!! chat soon!! |

29th October 2010 Hi Mary Enclosed are a few photos of little Charlie! The trip home was very tiring for him, he slept all the way on the back seat! We have got him into a sort of routine already, which he has learned quite quickly. He sleeps in at night and he goes out around six every morning. He has woken during most nights but I ignore him and he just goes back to sleep without much fuss. He then stays out all day, at first he cried to come in but now he is pretty happy to play outside. I have bought him a pigs ear which he loves to chew on and he has plenty of toys to chew too. We have already made him part of the family, we love him so much!!! I just hope our cat Dexter will come around, he doesn't think much of Charlie at the moment!!! Thanks again for all your help, I will keep in touch Janelle |
29th September 2010 Hi Mary, I hope you are well. I thought I would send you some photos of Astra and let you know how she is doing.
She is absolutely gorgeous and at has a wonderful nature so far, she has settled really well and has really found her bark but she doesn't bark that much. She has slept outside from the first night and has been no problem, she did not whine or cry on the first night or any others since.
She seems to travel well in her cage, she whines for a minute and then settles and falls asleep. She is fantastic at fetch, but not as good with sit so we are trying to get practice with her everyday. We are booking into puppy school at the local vets.
We absolutely adore her, and thanks for everything.
Best Wishes Melissa Kayrooz "Astra" |
14th October 2010 Hi Mary, It's so great to hear your business is doing so well. I'm not surprised so many people want beagles, clearly they are the cutest dogs in the world! I'm a little biased. I included a couple of cute pictures of Bentley for you. He's looking so much like his dad Boss now! Montana was fantastic. Toby and I went on a horse trail ride and decided we loved it so much, we want to learn much more about horses. So I have booked us into a dog friendly dude ranch in Colorado next year. You get your own horse for the week's stay and you learn everything about riding. Best of all, Bentley can come! He will have a ball. I hope he remembers the horses from your place and has some horse etiquette. My little niece Isabella (with the British accent) may be coming with us too. I hope my brother allows it as I've never seen a child so devoted to animals. She still talks about the tour you gave her of your place with all the puppies, including the tiny baby rabbits. We just got back from Spain and we decided before we left that we should introduce Bentley to a doggy boarding place. I have been so worried about how he will deal with quarantine when we return to Australia, I decided if we slowly get him used to a doggy kennel type place, then he will realise after a few times that we will always come back and get him. Then hopefully he'll think the same way in quarantine and not worry so much. I left so many toys and bones for him when we left, he was so spoiled - as usual. I also paid for extra play time for him every day. I can't help myself! He's so happy to be back home now. Because of the jet lag we've been waking up at 5am every morning and taking him for a jog, he's loving that! Anyway, it's great to hear from you as always. All the best and love to all the puppies. Bentley sends kisses for Delta. Shey Washington DC "Bentley" |
11th October 2010 Hi Mary! How are you? Hope things are well. I thought I'd send you a quick update on Opie & Jax because they are about to turn 1!
They are still the best of friends, although they do have a few brotherly moments (Opie likes to sit on top of Jax while he's sleeping which makes Jax a little cranky!) They couldn't be more different personality wise though, Jax is always up and about with his nose to the ground while Opie is often just happy to lie in the sun.
Opie is also a very cuddly dog, he loves curling up in your lap to sleep. Jax on the otherhand is very independent and doesn't care much for cuddles! (Much to my disappointment!)
The most obvious difference is their size, Jax is tall with a very solid build compared to Opie who is littler and not as big around the chest.
I have attached a couple of recent photos in this email to show how much they have grown. Take care, Carly & Ash

22nd September 2010 Mary, Sorry it has taken us so long to send some photo's. Max has been a joy and the boy's have taken the role as his carer very seriously. There has been very little crying, barking & digging. He gets his final injection next week which means we are getting closer to taking him out on walks - which we are all busting to do. I must say, that when we took Max to the vet for his first vaccination they commented on his great condition and fantastic breeding. We have followed your instructions to the letter and everything has gone perfectly. Once again thanks for all your work with these dogs as the make the most wonderful pets, especially for children. We will send more photos as he continues to grow and grow. Regards, Michael, Natalie, Jack & Sam. "Max" |
8th September 2010 Hi There Mary Just going to send a quick update on Lexi. We've had her for about 4 weeks now and she's settled in great! For the first three weeks she was on her own, but last week we got a little corgi puppy for her to play with as well. We've taken Lexi to a 'puppy party' / 'puppy pre-school' that the local vet has on (all pups have at least their 1st vaccination) and she got along with the other dogs great! She's already mastered sit (so much that she'll now sit when she wants food) and she has a pretty good grasp on 'come'. When we let her inside, if she catches the TV she'll stop whatever she's doing and sit and watch the TV for a while. She ended up watching a whole section (from ad break to ad break) of the Simpsons once! Next door has just gotten their own little beagle puppy as well. They've noticed each other through the fence, but so far the other pup is a fair bit smaller than Lexi and isn't too keen on coming too close to the fence. I will send a few more updates in a couple of weeks Regards Reece Fraser "Lexi" |
28th September 2010 Hi Mary, We are enjoying our Harry. He sleeps outside all night, gets inside as soon as you open back door but goes out okay. Had his second needle & our vet thinks he is gorgeous So do we. Looking forward to taking him out for walks. My daughter sees him growing each week. Thank you for our beautiful puppy. 19th June 2010 Hi Mary, Hunter has become a welcome member of our family - not sure I can remember what life was like before he arrived - he certainly keeps us on our toes. Sharon Douglas. "Hunter" |
7th April 2010 Hi Mary, Hope all is well. Just thought to send you pictures of Maloo and to advise that he is doing great. He will soon be starting puppy school and is already learning alot. Maloo is a great dog and very smart. Just wanted to once again say a very big THANK YOU for the gorgeous puppy Maloo, he is growing up and has developed very nicely. We take him to our local dog park and we are always getting compliments on how cute and gorgeous he is. I have attached a few pictures so you can see him. Thanks Again for a great puppy. 18th August 2010 Hi Mary, How are you? I just thought i'd write to you with updates of Rubi. She is growing very fast and getting more and more beautiful every day. She is starting to go quite light in colour on her head now and a tiny little bit of tan is coming through around the bottom of her legs. I'm sorry i've been so slack and haven't sent you photos but i haven't uploaded any as i have been busy with exams at uni. I will eventually get around to it. She has definately settled in well and trys to be the boss of the household. Everyone here absolutely loves her, even my dad the big softy. I hope all your new puppies are thriving well. Ash xxx 31st August 2010 Hi Mary How are you? Just thought I would give you an update on how Rubi is going. Jackson our chocolate labrador didn't really like her at first but now they are good mates, they play together all day long. I have attached a photo of Rubi and Jackson that was taken on saturday (sharing a bed). She is starting to go very light on her head but is still very black across her back, i really hope the black saddle stays. I can't thankyou enough for her, everyone that has seen her says that she is beautiful and she is going to be a very goodlooking dog, so there is a big complement to you! I've told a few people about your website so hopefully you'll get some customers.

11th June 2009 Hi Mary & Sonny, Just a short note to let you's know that Cleo has fitted right in. She is doing very well and the girls love her to bits. Hope all the other pups are doing ok. I have attached a photo taken of Cleo on the weekend. She has had her first taste of snow and very cold weather the last 2 days. Cheers Anissa, Robert, Laura, Hannah & Cleo Whyte "Cleo" |
19th March 2010 Mary Toby has made amazing progress this week. He's all but house trained already, (although we do keep an eagle eye on him when he's indoors and take him out if he hints at it! He likes his crate and goes there to rest during the day. He sits when asked, stays and is generally good at not biting, but still doesn't think much of fetching and is probably the most placid puppy I have seen. Having said that, he's a great companion and we are looking forward to when we can get him out for walks. I will take some pictures at the weekend and send them through - he's changing just about every day. Hope all is well at your end. Kind regards Arlene |
23rd May 2009. Hi Mary, Archie has settled in very well in his new home environment, just a few pics I thought I would share with you before you leave. Thank you again for everything. Ben, Maree and Archie "Archie" |
6th March 2009 Hi Mary, Diamonds is great, cute, pretty, clever, she is very muched loved and we are very excited as she is now fully vaccinated and can go out to parks and the beach this weekend! Yeah! Regards Kate. "Diamonds" |
3rd August 2009 Hi Mary, I thought it was about time I sent you some photos to show you how Chelsea is coming along. She has shown herself to be a very smart, confident, strong, healthy and determined girl! We all just love her so much! Seeing Eryn with her now, you would hardly believe it is the same child you met a few months ago. She has claimed Chelsea as 'her dog' and they share some similar characteristics (adorable and beautiful, but sometimes strong willed and stubborn!!) Chelsea certainly likes to rule the roost and give the boys (Ben and Max) a bit of what for. Joshua is certainly much better with the dogs than he was - he will play out the backyard with all of the dogs. Before we had the puppies, he would only play in the backyard when Max was chained up. Hope you like the photos. Kind regards, Linda Sablatura "Chelsea" |

Hi there Mary, its rob and Lauren here. We just sending you some pics of Nikita (whom we renamed Indi). She has been mostly well behaved. Thank you for the support you have given us we applaud you're interest in you're dogs progress. I have been teaching her many skills . But she has developed some skills on her own that have been amusing and promising, e.g.. She loves to swim, will fetch something thrown way out into the river, amusing until you're fishing and she retrieves your float. She has also taken to doing something that I've never seen a dog do, she will swim out and duck dive to get something under the water. Overall we are most pleased and try to give your details to anyone who comments on her. Kind regards rob and Lauren. "Indy" |
Mary,we havnt forgotten our promise to send u a picture of Lilly as she grows. She is happy, healthy, spoilt and very much loved. Thank you for the Christmas card. Sorry for the late reply. I hope all is well. We will send more soon. From Lyndsay and Mark "Lilly" |

7th March 2010 Hi Mary, I just thought i would drop you a quick email and let you know how Phoebe is going. She has settled in beautifully now and has had all of her vaccinations. We are finally allowed to take her out and have fun outdoors. She is a social little butterfly and loves playing or talking to anyone who will talk to her.
We are still working on the come command a bit with her....She still gets easily distracted. But she seems to be great at sit, stay, shake and fetch.
We are going to a fancy dress party soon with her, so she is going as a cheer leader. Will send you some new photos over the next few months Thanks Pamela, Stewart and Phoebe Rope

8th March 2010 Hi Mary, I hope you're well! I know I've taken my time getting you these photos! Here are some recent photos of Ellie (with best mate Rolex in the background). She has certainly turned into a lovely looking dog, not to mention she has a great temperament. I hope everything's going well with you - I will try and send you more photos sooner than this time! Many thanks, Corrine "ELLIE" 22nd September 2009 Hi Mary, How are you? Thought I'd touch base and let you know how Ellie's going she's made her mark as a true member of the family now, we love her to bits, and I can never wait to come home from work to see her! Her and Rolex constantly play and occupy each other when Damien and I are at work, which is great. Here are some recent photos of them - attached. Hi Mary I just wanted to tell you that Fifi is very good and she misses you a lot. Baxter and Fifi are getting along very well. Baxter is teaching Fifi the morning routine, which is:
1. They jump on my bed and lick me to death
2. Sit on the shower stool and wait for me to get in. 3. Sit and wait hopefully that they will get some bacon and eggs!!!!!!!
So how are you???????? I hope you are good.
With love Caitlin, Fifi and Baxter |
Hi Mary
I thought id send you some pics to show you how much Luka has grown. He has started puppy preschool. We have 2 lessons left with him and he's doing really well.He is quite smart so we have found him to be quite easy to train.I also bought him a Kong which is wonderful. We have had no problems with him at all and as you'll see by the photos that he is very loved by the boys. We have moved house also and have a great yard now for Luka its really big so he has lots of room to run.He now sits, stays comes when his called, shakes hands, plays fetch with a ball ......He walks well on his lead also. We are about to introduce him to a harness next week. We are able to play with his ears brush his teeth put our fingers around his gums. Play with all his feet. Play with his tail. We were told to do this every time we handle him so he is well behaved for the vet and also so that he can be handled by children. He barks sometimes but i only have to tell him to sit on his bed and stay and he stops. I think he's perfect:) Maybe we might get another one Hahahahahahahaahahah.Oneday...
Thank you also for the xmas card very cute!! Well i hope you enjoy the pics. We'll try to send them again

Dear Mary I am writing to let you know how Austin first night and day at his new home was. At first when we brought got home he kept himself busy sniffing the whole new place and it took a while. We tried to introduce him to the "toilet" but he didn't like it at all (we think it might be the drops which we put all over it as he start crying when we tried to hold him on the toilet) Austin did like his "sleeping place" straight away. As we came home late that night we didn't spend lots of time together and we did go to sleep. His first night was great as Austin didn't cry at all. And didn't wake us up in the morning actually I woke him up as I needed to leave the house. Then at the day we did leave him for few hours and again he was a perfect boy and didn't cause any troubles. We start to introduce him to the balcony (where we put lots of fake grass). As it is a rainy and cold weather outside he was not happy at the beginning. We did play a lot on the balcony and try to put him their every time he wants to pee. And finally we were playing with Austin 30 min ago and he just stopped playing and went to the balcony himself to do his business. Austin is a very smart, fast learner and a self occupied puppy as he likes to play by himself as well. He did not eat a lot today but surely he did sleep a lot. We will keep in touch and we will write you again in a week time if there is no problem otherwise we will just call you. Thank you for our new family member Regards, Vladimir, Irina and Austin "AUSTIN" |

27th March 2010 Dear Mary.
How's things going ?
Just thought we'd send you an update on Abby & Archie.
Abby is 16months old now and has adapted really well, Archie should be 9 weeks on Tuesday. Abby's actually taken on the mothers role, its quite funny. They sleep & eat together. Follow each other around. Gets a bit full on when Abby is ready to play and Archie isn't they both have a crack at each other. They play a lot of the time, Abby gives it out and Archie isn't shy about giving it back. Abby picks Archie up by the neck and carrys him around. quite funny to watch, He's growing day by day.
Have pictures on facebook, and Archie set up facebook too lol.
Will send you some good pictures for yourself soon.
Hope all is well.
Thanks Dave & Kim. |

Hi Mary, Bonnie is a very good dog, very quick to learn & very smart (for me only), will not listen to the kids or wife, upsets them at times, but that is how it goes, kids love her otherwise, wife is slowly adjusting. Cheers, Steve |
Hi Mary, I hope you are doing well. So sorry it has taken so long for me to send you a photo of Kobe. Kobe is doing very well and is much loved by our family. 3rd May 2009 Hi Mary, Just to let you know Levi and Sam are doing very well. The kids love them to bits and play with them a lot. They are nearly 6 months old now and they have more room to run now because we had a fence put up in front of the house. Here are photos of them. Regards Michelle. "LEVI & SAM" |
21st May 2009 Hi Mary Here is the latest photo of our beagle Garry. As you know he is about 6 months old. He was quite dark when we got him from you. Luckily we l live in the bush because we think that he is part Koala and Beaver. He loves leaves and sticks. He has a bowl full of kibble but will still rather eat a stick or rip bark from a tree. He is a very good little boy, and has learnt to wait, sit, stay and come on command. We are very happy with him. "GARY BYRNES" |
